Weather, transport and other practical tips

06 July 2016

For those preparing to travel to Durban, South Africa, you may have already found the "practical information" on the AIDS 2016 website which provides helpful tips on everything from entry requirements to tipping.

It's winter in Durban, although the current forecast is for sun, with highs in the low 20s C (low 70 degrees F). It is still a good idea to bring layers as indoors especially might feel colder.

As noted in the information, the electric plug used in Durban is a 3-pronged Type M, which you can see here.

The conference is also organizing transport from the airport to the conference hotels (R80 to be paid in cash at the designated desk at the airport) as well as a shuttle service between the hotels and the conference venue. If you have not already done so, enter your transport needs through your conference profiles on the AIDS 2016 website.

See you there!
